Penrice Protest - https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/penrice-school-threatens-permanently-kick-8188605
A Cornwall secondary school has spoken out following a protest which turned into a riot. Penrice Academy students had been due to protest against newly enforced toilet rules on Friday (February 24) when things got out of hand.
Parents and students have been protesting across the country in a row over toilet rules - uniting as part of a TikTok trend. Inside Penrice Academy, in St Austell, students took to flipping tables and shaking fences as things escalated.
The school has now spoken out by condemning the behaviour of some students, while thanking those who attended lessons or wanted to engage in a peaceful protest. It said those who didn't must be met with serious consequences - which could include being banned from prom or being kicked out of school permanently.
A parent told CornwallLive students had broken down fences, trashed goal posts, smashed bins and ran away from school. A child was also said to have badly injured herself trying to climb the fence. The school sent out a message asking select parents to collect their children as a result.

Possible Questions To Ask:

- When was it sold to Groupe Boncolac?
- What will Groupe Boncolac do with Proper Cornish;
Main Story:
I am outside of Proper Cornish right now to report about the deal between them and Groupe Boncolac.
Pasty company Proper Cornish, which has made the local delicacy for more than three decades, has been sold for an undisclosed amount to French snacks supplier Boncolac, who sell to over 30 countries.
Proper Cornish, based in Bodmin, manufactures frozen, savoury pastry products in Cornwall, and is well-loved by customers being one of the largest pasty makers in the UK. Fans of the popular company are horrified at this deal, and some say the native and valued company’s pasties wont be the same, with a commenter saying “Now rebranded as ‘Proper French” whilst another states ”A Cornish pasty is a Cornish pasty ! " Boss Chris Pauling stated that in order for Proper Cornish to "take things to the next level", they had to sell to a larger company like Groupe Boncolac and that he is confident they are the right partners. The Cornish Pasty Association added: “Their pasties will still be made at the same place, by the same team and with the same recipe.” Groupe Boncolac assures fearful customers that there will be no change to the goods, baked where they always have been, in Bodmin.
Further information on this in an interview coming up next.
